Potty Training A Puppy Without Puppy Training Pads

Potty training can be a nightmare for several new pet owners. Most of us never go so far as to think of the proper puppy training methods that we are going to have to implement now that we are pet owners. Getting a new puppy can be an exciting moment in one’s life; however if you are not well aware of what it takes to begin properly training a puppy; then you could be getting in over your head.

We all know that dog obedience begins when they are puppies. If you fail to implement the proper training methods then you could end up regretting it when you pup reaches adulthood. Believe me it will be here before you know it.

While puppies are great and we all love to cuddle and play with them the moment that they come home; the truth is that they are only puppies for a while. Before you know it they are now full grown dogs. If you have not been properly housebreaking your puppy; then it will show when they reach adulthood.

It is important to know that you should definitely begin potty training a puppy without using puppy training pads. This is especially important if you do not want to consistently keep cleaning up after your pet. In fact research shows that most people prefer to choose a dog rather than a cat; because they do not want to deal with a litter box.

However if you begin teaching your dog to use the bathroom inside your home on puppy training pads; then you can bet she will be doing this when she is a grown dog. Even if you decide to properly potty train your pet; you will still find that they keep going in the area that they have grown accustomed to going.

This is the main reason that I never tell people to use puppy training pads. I have known people who have regretted training their dog using this method and they still have not figured out how to get their dog to do their business outside.
